In September 2019, Saegusa & Partners trademark attorney Ms. Mami Yoshikawa (Tokyo office) will begin a year-long study program at the prestigious Queen Mary University of London, with a focus on intellectual property law. While in the UK, Ms. Yoshikawa will also undertake a professional training course with the trademark and design team of an IP law firm in London.
Ms. Yoshikawa hopes to use the knowledge she gains concerning UK law and practice to help serve as a bridge between her Japanese clients and her associates in the UK. We wish Ms. Yoshikawa the best of luck in her studies in London, and look forward to her return to the Tokyo office in 2020.
